I get the impression that Argos could not organize a panic in a plane crash! I have recently purchased a new gas cooker from them, the cost of which includes delivery, intstallation and recycling the old one. I have received several text messages to advise me that a gas engineer would call first to disconnect the old one, then the new one would be delivered and finally the old one taken away. According to the messages I received the engineer will arrive before 10am to disconnect the old one and then return about 2pm to connect the new one. It is now 10am, no sign of the engineer, however the new cooker has arrived and is sitting outside the front of the flat as there is not enough room in the kitchen for it, until the old one has been removed... Guess what , this now means that the company now have to send a lorry all the way back to Lydd to remove the old cooker..
