I going to write a column called Negros to the Rescue. It will center around pointing out how the negro will always try to make us think like the European because they themselves have internalized the idea of European greatness. How the Rescue Negro is needed and supported by Europeans because they are a bulwark for white supremacy. The Rescue Negro will get really tired of hearing about things African (Black), when they speak ill of things European. They firmly believe that African contributions were minimal at best, although they may not say so. Theyll take the position that Africanism is a farce and will never really work nor is it needed. We all know a Rescue Negro. They may hide in dashikis or behind black rhetoric or under the blanket of Black community development, talking we must integrate on some level without any notion Pan Africanisms need for Black efficacy. You find them in a church, mosque, or temple, asking some bodies god to help us, however they never speak of Maat as a way of life, or free Africa from xtian, Islamic, or white control, how can they, they are Rescue Negros? Yes the Rescue Negro is real, as real as real can get. But whats even more troubling is that they have tons of support, even among Conscious Blacks because we often are so focused on the bigger picture, that we dont fully critique the Rescue Negro therefore they just keep rolling along unchallenged.
