I got a dentist. I guess I have officially moved to Tucson. Next I need a CPA. My dentist analyzed my x-rays, a tooth in my lower jaw, left side, had a big piece missing. I didnt know. He said that the decay (naturally, no enamel to protect the living tooth means bacteria are at work) might have penetrated to the nerve. That would mean a root canal. I returned this afternoon for my dental work. They started prepping me for a root canal. I dont need a root canal I told the staff. There is no pain, my tooth is alive, I want it to stay alive... and the x-rays are just an indicator. When he gets in there he will find that the nerve is healthy and it just needs a filling. The dental assistant rolled her eyes. HEY I said.. I need your positive thoughts on this. :) He super-deadened my lower jaw nerves. All the tools were laid out for a root canal, the 5-57 drill bits, the calcium hydroxide. He went to work, drill, scrape. Hmmm, he finally said. Weird. I dont think you need me to kill the nerve. I think a filling will work. If you have any swelling or pain, come back and well do the root canal, but I am just going to fill it. I nodded and winked at the assistant. She gave me a thumbs up. The anesthesia is wearing off and Im going to bed.
