I got a job at a stand alone Starbucks because I never seen a familiar face like my own. I wrote to be heard but rather offered a job. I took the opportunity so I can show Starbucks how we as African American people can be seen in a good light. At times I felt like giving up knowing how some people were treating me like dirt was because I was black but I knew I was taking steps for my people to show we are hard workers. Today I am now running a Starbucks in the new City Target. I am blessed to have had opened windows and I know my hard work will open up many doors in the future. Thank you to all who fought for my freedom, pushed for my opportunities and guided me to my future. I am truly blessed 😇 #TheButler
