I got a notice from the music store where I teach guitar that the rental fee for the one room studios I teach in is going up. I charge $25/half hour. They currently take $8.75/half hour or 17.50/hour. They are raising it $1.00/hour. That is $18.50/hour. My students gladly pay $25.00/half hour for my talent. In other words the whole fee is really MY MONEY. Who is doing whom a favor? I bring customers into the store, they buy musical accessories for their instruments. They buy sheet music, etc. The lights in the studio in a full evening are on for about 3 hours. Thats one light in my room. What does that add up to? It is $55.50 per night for each teacher with a full night of teaching. Not one of the stores administration can tell me I use up than much energy. In addition, the stores lights will be on if I am there or not. Tell me who is f**ked up?
