I got asked to translate properly the song Grândola, Vila Morena that on the 25th April 1974 @00:20AM the song was played over the radio as a signal to the Movement of Armed Forced in the coup against the Fascist state ( Estado Novo/ New State) that had dictated over Portugal between 1933-1974 after the 1st Republic was overthrown in 1926 leading to 48 years of terror. Grândola, Vila Morena would be sung by people in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Uruguay, China, Brussels etc. in the last couple of years by protestors against the austerity that affected people all around the world.
