I got back on the Tate book, but then I realized that my entire story about Estelle was all wrong. If I did it the way I’d planned, the copyeditor would pass out in joy at telling me that it couldn’t happen in that time period. I paced and wrote until I figured out how to do it so the dates worked. Once I have a story in my head, it’s difficult to figure out what I can keep and what I can throw out. In this case I had the part about Estelle at church with Olivia’s parents so strongly in my head, that I couldn’t get past it. When I did, I envisioned the parking lot at the doctor’s office and went from there. I finally got that story done, then started worrying about the next book. So far, I have 2 backstories about Olivia in this book, yet I’m going to tell about her life in the next Summer House novel. How do I do that? I don’t like repeating things. In the Edilean series, an editor made me tell a story about a red dress in 2 books and I fought her on it. But she won. Hmmmm. This is a brain challenge. I had a funny piece with Tate and Casey. After a conversation, he said he nearly asked her to move in with him. She said he asked her to be his cook. They heard different things. This afternoon I’m doing the questions on FB for spa week. I am a slow and bad typist. Wish me luck! I loved your stories about marriages. Do you know of marriages or living together of such opposites that you don’t know how it works? Jude
