I got both of these movies yesterday for £1 each at, um, Poundland lol, and decided to watch Bending The Rules... Edge is a talented guy, no doubt. And he surprised me by not being John Cena The Marine awful in his film debut. Its an ok buddy cop comedy, although I didnt actually laugh once so comedy should be used loosely. Maybe American audiences have a slightly different type of humour to us, or else there is something in the water over there that makes them think Jamie Kennedy is funny and we are immune to it lol Son of The Mask anyone? On the plus side it featured Jennifer Esposito, who i have liked since first seeing her in Spin City years ago. Total babe. The general gist of the story is that Edge is a New Orleans cop being investigated for corruption and Jamie Kennedy is the DA who is prosecuting him. When the DA is targeted for death by a gangster he sentenced, laid back wise-cracker Edge is the only guy who can keep him alive. Mayhem ensues, kind of. Id give it six out of ten. I enjoyed it but only really just smirking my way through the comedy rather than laughing out loud. Edge is pretty good though. Its obvious this movie was planned to coincide with his face turn late of 2011. Im gonna watch Triple H in Inside Out tonight and I have a feeling that may be even worse lol Barry
