I got called out to tow a semi from northwood to the toledo - TopicsExpress

I got called out to tow a semi from northwood to the toledo freightliner dealership last night... on my way home at like 3 a.m. I was southbound on 75 in toledo, and spotted a southbound jeep.... in the northbound travel lanes. Yikes. I stayed with him blaring my air horns and had my lights flashing trying to get them to realize what they were doing. It seemed like eternity as i watched car after car after semi swerve to avoid hitting the jeep head on. One car sideswiped them, then a semi sideswiped them. So close. Then the jeep slid into a guardrail and some woman in a minivan stopped in front of me as i pulled on the shoulder, and proceeded to run over the guardrail. I yelled at her not to go over there because the jeep was half in the fast lane. She yelled "hes hurt". I said wait for the cops, theres nothing we can do to help and if you go over there your putting your own life at risk.... the cops will be here wihtin minutes. It was pouring down rain and i sloshed through knee water to go check on the driver as soon as cops had parked in the travel lanes, and i put the car in park and pulled the keys. An officer came over and asked the driver if he was hurt. His nose and mouth were bloody but he was lucky to be alive. He was and elderly gentleman and the cops asked him if he knew what his name was and had he been drinking. He said no.... and no. Poor old guy just kept saying a truck hit him. He was totally out of it. Could be age, or medications, who knows? I felt really bad for the guy though. Man, what a crazy night.
