I got into a verbal altercation today with a lady in the waiting room at my ultrasound appointment. Her 1-year-old was acting up a little bit, as to be expected, and she found it appropriate to physically pick him up by his arm and whip him around a number of times while telling him to Be quiet. I was able to hold my tongue until she took her sandal off and waved it at him while frighteningly asking him if he wanted it; after he shook his head no, she smacked him with it anyway. Unfortunately for her, I was already in an annoyed mood. Makes me more motivated to become a family lawyer.
