I got nine from Meredith - hmmm... 1 - I once submitted lyrics to the Christian arena rock band Petra. They were rejected; only band members can write Petra songs. I was so depressed I didnt listen to their CDs for a whole week. 2 - in college I wrote a letter to Steven Spielberg, seeking help in getting a film career going. A secretary wrote back saying thanks for writing but Steve was super busy and couldnt write back personally and to look up interviews with the guy and get info that way. 3 - I met John Fischer a couple months after reading his books on disenfranchisement with Christianity. I asked if I should go to a Bible school or a secular one; he said secular if I wanted to see what my faith was really made of. Hence, ECU. 4 - I didnt really want to go to college. Only reason I did is b/c it was the thing to do. 5 - I always end up either half-assing work and/or significantly damaging important relationships when I do the thing to do - to this very day. 6 - I love things that fill me with childlike wonder and cant wait to share such experiences with my own kids (God-willing); things like Medieval Times, Ren Faires, Halloween, and Doctor Who. 7 - I can be very emotional sometimes - typing #6 nearly brought me to tears. 8 - Body weight and image has been something Ive struggled with my whole life. 9 - in high school I was the king of belchers; these days I have to be careful to not make myself sick when I intentionally attempt an oral gaseous expulsion.
