I got nominated for the ALS ice bucket challenge by my sister Kendra Coon. I think that it is great that this is raising awareness of ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. I just donated to Terry Wahls MD. Terry does not study ALS (she studies MS), but I think that her results will have implications in multiple neurodegenerative diseases.
