I got off of work at 3:10pm, and still help customers load mulch and stuff. My employee buddies tell me I cant work without an apron. I tell them, Im off the clock, my ride is not here yet so I can help people load their mulch. Again they tell me I cant do that. I understand that I cant work when Im off the clock but this is just a natural instinct and im not acting or trying to get brownie points. If I see an elderly person pushing a cart full of bags, Im going to offer my help, regardless. Customer Service is a big thing at Home Depot that they take very seriously. Helping people out is something I take very seriously, I decline on tips every single time. A customer put $20 in my apron. I put it right back in her purse when she walked off. I appreciate their caring gestures but I tell them they can use that money to come back and buy more stuff at Home Depot. I take my job very seriously and I know where I can end up if I keep on working hard and showing customers that I truly care and appreciate their business. They dont have to shop at Home Depot but they do so we need to make sure their shopping experiences at our store are good. =)
