I got on a Tram on Friday at 20.15 to go to Piccadilly to connect - TopicsExpress

I got on a Tram on Friday at 20.15 to go to Piccadilly to connect with the last virgin train to Euston at 21.15 which I had a pre paid ticket for. The tram comes to a halt at Pomona at 20 20 the driver said there would be a short delay at 21.00 we are all still sitting there, no taxis available or buses. Customer service intercoms on platform not working. Finally contacted customer services who said they could not authorise taxis. Everybody was put on Tram back to Media City, I explained my predicament to customer services, as my train had departed, I also explained I was stranded without money, also explained I was disabled and my medication was in London, was basically told there was nothing they could do as they did not have any authority but told me to send an email, also said somebody would call me back nobody did. If it had not been for the kind person who put me up on their sofa and lent me the fare to get home I have no idea what I would have done. Surely it is common sense to arrange alternative transport for your customers in situations like this, especially when you are running a network with links to other mainline services, how long would it have taken Metrolink to get 6 minibuses organised to transfer passengers from Pomona, a major company with an un reliable service must have accounts with Taxi companies. I will be seeking compensation from Metrolink and suggest if any one else was in A similar situation they seek the same, if they fail to compensate me adequately I will seek recompense through the Civil Courts.
