I got the news of an old friends passing last night. He was a really good guy and will be greatly missed. We met when I was in college and had some great times. One night I was following him to his house and didnt know where I was going. He drove like a bat out of hell (he was a cop lol) and I had to run a redlight to keep up. I got pulled over!!! Immediately I called him and he spoke to the officer that pulled me over and got me out of the ticket :) I stayed up really late talking with him that night, overslept and missed work. Because of my adolescent ignorance and this final tardiness I lost my job. He then decided to fund a spur of the moment weekend getaway for himself, me and Crystal Stewart to make up for it. One of the best weekends in my life and I talk about it all the time still to this day! Ill never forget his beautiful blue eyes and beaming smile... our Nascar chit chats. .. whiskey breath lol... my first canoe trip ever... Riding shotgun in his patrol car(shh dont tell lol)...Going to the gym with him and laughing the whole time... him keeping me company & keeping me safe when I worked graveyard shift at EZ Mart... so on and on. My heart,thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. We lost a great one :( Rest in peace Wade Hagan!!! I can only hope you know the impact you had on so many!
