I got this email from a US government department early this morning and am sure that hundreds of young people across Africa got one too. Dear PAULINE NJOROGE, On Wednesday I sent you an e-mail inviting you to join our second live Twitter chat taking place Monday, April 7th at 1300 UTC. In this chat, American Entrepreneur Fahad Hassan (@FahadHassan) and the State Department’s Special Adviser on Global Youth Issues Zeenat Rahman (@Zeenat) will personally answer your questions and lead a discussion about Social Entrepreneurship. I missed the skype chat but I would like to get feed back from those who participated. Am sure the number of participants was over 10,000. I said it last week and I will say it again. African governments have failed to engage the young people in various levels of governance. There is a vacuum and the US is coming in to fill it. My worry is that instead of producing a young generation that will revive the Pan-African Spirit, at this rate we may end up with an extremely alienated generation. African Leaders its upto you! Are you willing to change this trend?
