I got this email last week: Hello Robert, I have just watched your video on indiegogo for your CargoFish entry. I have pitched in 100$ to encourage you to keep moving forward. I have also retweeted your entry to my followers, stimulating them to make a contribution. You position it rightly as a component of a Physical Internet. I wonder if you know that I have been working on the full vision of a Physical Internet for several years now. You can find material describing our vision, as well as papers and ongoing projects on the Physical Internet (PI) by going to the physicalinternetinitiative.org web site. You can browse through the Physical Internet Manifesto and also find the link to my Logistics Research paper introducing the Physical Internet. You can also want to watch my TEDx video on the Physical Internet at tedxtalks.ted/video/Benoit-Montreuil-at-TEDxBuchare I position your proposed technology as part of the open Mobility Web we are envisioning, focused on the last mile reaching in and out of homes, offices, etc. You are mentioning very pertinently that cargofish is to be using standard containers, which are key enablers that we have functionally specified. Some of your talk about real fast delivery requires many of the facets we have introduced as part of the overall Logistics Web to be enabled by the Physical Internet. It was stimulating for me to watch you pitch such a Physical Internet technology. I encourage you to go through the material I mentioned and then to get back to me with your feedback. We may then start a conversation that may lead to further collaboration. Yours truly, Ben Prof. Benoit (Ben) Montreuil CIRRELT Université Laval, Québec, Canada -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The above letter makes me think of Samuel Pierpont Langley, and I feel like one of the Wright Brothers.
