I got to hang out with Livernois Motorsports vehicle operations - TopicsExpress

I got to hang out with Livernois Motorsports vehicle operations manager Andy Ricketts this morning, and get a tour of their facility. The shop was packed with cars from more than a half dozen different states, and as far away as Texas. Andy says they typically do 8-12 cars a week, with everything from cold air installs to complete powertrain swaps in progress. This time of year the work is more biased towards the quicker, less extensive jobs, while winter sees more involved work while the bad weather keeps the nice cars indoors. In addition to the traditional machine shop resources youd expect like line honing and boring machines, they also have two three axis and two five axis CNC mills for more involved work. And of course they have their own engine dyno and AWD chassis dyno for testing and tuning. All in all, its a pretty impressive operation. If youre ever in the Detroit area, you might want to stop by and see their retail shop, too.
