I got told yesterday when i was getting off the elevator on the floor the NICU is on to enjoy my vacation. im thinking what vacation so i laugh it off because i honestly did not know what she meant by telling me that. well a friend of mine who has a baby on the fifth floor was still on the elevator said where we going the girl waits until the doors close to say what she meant. my friend told me she said that having a baby in the NICU is like being on vacation because i dont have to worry about taking him back and forth to the dr i dont have to worry about going to and from the hospital all the time. The sad thing is her baby was in there for almost three months so she knows what its like but she never watched her child quit breathing and turn blue right before her eyes like i did so if she thinks of that as being on vacation whats a real vacation like for her? not to mention the fact that I DO GO BACK AND FORTH TO THE HOSPITAL EVERYDAY. I WATCHED MY SON TURN BLUE AND QUIT BREATHING RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES. Just because she would not come to the hospital if her mom was not holding her hand and she would stay up all night on the computer and sleep all day and not go to the hospital til six or seven at night maybe it was a vacation to her but i live in fear every second of every day that i might get that phone call from the hospital telling me jonathan is gone i do not consider that a vacation. Does anyone else agree with me? Dont you just love stupid people
