I grabbed my shoe in final preparation to leave for work and a spider was waiting for me between my two shoes. I strongly flinched and my muscles tightened. I moaned a loud screen with the toothbrush still inside my mouth as I backed away. It stood there, poised; ready for my next move. Hit it with the shoe, I thought. No, wait. If I do that hell run underneath the table. I then looked to the right and found my obvious choice of weapon-the broom. I was long enough for me to keep my distance, and I could give it enough force to end this battle fast. The pain in my bicep from tensing up hardly phased me as I prepared to strike. Forgive me Lord, I thought again. WAMM!!! I threw the broom down and back away shrieking with my mouth closed. The spider lay crumbled up a little-crippled from the impact. I watched carefully to make sure it was dead. Just then it mustered up enough strength and crawled 2 inches! I shrieked even louder and did the dance of fear... The broom, the broom, get the broom, I thought once more.
