I grew up around a family member that would always put herself down and that stayed in my brain even at a young age. I told myself I would never allow my insecurities to hinder my children. Ive held snakes, and ugly bugs and all sorts of other things just to experience it with my kids. The bathing suit issue is/has definitely been the hardest, but I have done it, just to be there. (More for safety reasons) I am starting to feel waaaay better about it!
