I grew up in a neighborhood, with lullabies of a sweet childhood. Reaping fruits of time, we stood firm, we spoke the truth. We played in opened green fields, we engaged in juvenile deeds. My dolls and your barn sticks, patrolled together in never ending noon. Tickling of childhood, brought Giggles and laughter, tears made us grow up faster. Walls were drawn. Rules were laid. I understood, but missed those days of playing with dust, rocks and clay. Melody of youth, now echoes fire. Game has changed. Its a new world order, its a new bloody satire. Drone attacks in our backyard, our playground is now their battlefield. I know you have changed, You are withdrawn. Your eyes, your warmth, all has turned cold. our youth, I know, is being sold. You forgot me, you forgot our dreams. You forgot the life and right to live. Path was bloodier and bodies were laid. Same place, where we once played. My own soul has turned against me. Now, I don’t know you, you don’t know me. We have become foe, Of a lost dream. January, 2010.
