I grew up in the Caribbean where girls were out performing boys especially in the middle years where decisions regarding secondary school choices were being made. Generally the girls had higher marks at the common entrance exams which was taken by the age of 13. Its therefore its not surprising that the girls academic successes would be seen in the work world sooner or later as the article below indicates.
