I grew up in the air force....my dad was a lifer. I thought everybody had Revellie blasted throughout their neighborhood early every morning. We lived in a little silver box that they called a trailer....in England. My room was a bunk bed in the wall of the hallway. Then we went to Texas...San Antonio and my father was a training instructor to recruits at Lackland AFB. Im not complaining....it was just what I thought was normal....my dad did stints in Germany and Soth Korea. ...and when he came back I remember being sorta shy around him....when you are young and a parent is absent, its not so easy t fall back into the rountine....for the soldier or the child.....and we didnt have the internet to keep them fresh in our young minds.... so today I want to say thanks to the wives and husbands and children that gave your parent to us to protect and defend our way of life. It goes without saying that I salute the service member....but I also salute the ones left at home....thank you for sharing with us...God bless the USA
