I grew up on hiphop.. First album (tape) i ever bought with my own money was NWAs sooc and my collection of albums just passed the 400 mark with 750Rebz Kold Heat. Most of the hiphop in my collection is from between 93 - 00 though... I keep hearing people say that real hiphop is dead. I believed this until recently, then I heard a couple dudes that changed my mind (apart from the goodness coming out of Oz) Joey Badass, Schoolboy Q, Big K.R.I.T, Ab Soul, Kid Cudi and a few others are straight dope... Theres that Control verse by Kendrick Lamar too and a few others things he done but he aint on Joeys level... I really thought the bottom dropped out in 2K (like Masta Ace said in Seasons) but this shit is most definitely coming back around.
