I grew up with the smell of welding fumes and oil clinging to my hair, barefoot and free. Wandering around the woods and making mud pies or throwing knives at the dirt with my big brother. We wouldnt come in til the lightning bugs were out en masse, hardly ever watched TV and forget about video games. Simpler times, a simpler way of thinking too. Makes one wonder about this day and age, if we are really doing right by our children. But all thats gone now. Faded away like the smoke from freshly laid asphalt on a hot summers day. I must be in a melancholy mood tonight, missing all the loved ones that made life so rich back then. I love all of my family, I hope yall know that. Even when we cant be close and talk everyday, I still think about everyone. Now that Ive made myself feel old I am going to bed. lol Love you all!
