I guess I am grateful that BART had that bomb threat, because it meant while I was waiting I read the message from last night telling me that the job I had was suddenly cancelled. I guess I am grateful that the job was cancelled, so I was home when Deborah came running upstairs in a panic asking how to turn off the pool... Because the transverse pipe to the solar popped out again, and was spilling water all over. So instead of ALL the water having been pumped out, it was only about 25%. And I guess I am grateful that it happened today, rather than tomorrow, after we had spent the energy and money to heat all the water. I am certainly grateful to Akien MacIain for having mostly fixed the leak and the heater so we CAN heat the pool for the party tomorrow. Now that I am done with the phone call from Kaiser I was in the middle of -- WHILE running downstairs to turn off the pool -- I should go see if Debs been able to shore up that connection, and then start filling the pool back up. And then we will turn on the heater tonight rather than tomorrow morning. *sigh* can I be done with sudden, upsetting events today, please?
