I guess I just have to vent. I did my usual Saturday night transport and overnight of dogs. While a group of us were waiting around for the vans to arrive, we were talking about our dogs. No big surprise. One lady asked me what kind of dogs I have, I told her 1 dachshund, 1 chihuahua mix and 3 Chinese cresteds. She said oh, the ugly dogs! Well, I really wanted to punch her in the face, but since she a fellow rescue person, I remained calm. I said there is NOTHING ugly about my dogs. I started to show pictures of them. All of the other people started to ohhh and ahhhh. She just kept rolling her eyes and shaking her head. But you know what? I am glad. Hairless dogs are too special for someone like her. I love my rescued dogs and they are all perfect to me.
