Yikes Subject: Mountain Lion Activity on Site Date: Thu, 06 Jun 2013 10:03:28 -0600 To: [email protected] Earlier this morning a female mountain lion with a deer carcass was discovered on site behind Building 25 (building 25 is just west of the Shipping Department and the Solar Observatory). It was determined that the lion has cubs in the area. The Department of Wildlife will be on site shortly to move the carcass away from the public trail but still have it available for the lion to to feed her cubs. We would strongly advise that all tenants avoid the north west area of the DOC Site and the portion of the Kohler trail that runs near that area. The Department of Wildlife will probably post advisory signs. There is a lot of wildlife activity at this time of year, please do be mindful of that when you are on the trails.
