I guess, for you back at home, you might be wondering why at 19 I wanted to go to the other side of the world for training in ministry. I believe that God has called each one of us to make disciples of all nations, right? And for me Thailand is the place God wants me and I have followed his voice bringing me to where I am now. I have been here just over a month...It feels like I have been here for years and it feels like home already, which is Awesome. Since being here, the number 1 thing I have learnt and would like to share with you is about serving. The great thing about being at an international bible college is hanging out with students from literally all across Asia. From each student, I learn something different about God and how he works. Looking at some students I see how to love, I see how to submit to authority, I see how to worship, and what I have seen which has challenged me personally is an overwhelming amount of serving. One good friend, Johnny, from India knows how to serve! I watch the way he serves, and I see Jesus serving. He doesnt annoy you trying to gain your respect, your friendship, or trying to show off to anyone else. He serves because that is his nature. He puts you first, and he puts himself last. This is not a decision that he makes each day when he wakes up, it is deep within his nature. In response to Jesus, Johnny has nailed Serving 100%! I use Johnny as an example. Look around you, look for Christ in the people all around you. Dont just watch, start to imitate Christ in the lives of others and you will see success in so many areas of your life. For me, I am on a journey to serve like Christ, to serve like Johnny, and in doing so my relationship with God will grow! You know when, you support me financially... You are giving to the parts of Christ that you see inside of me. This Journey has only just begun, and I Thank God for his provision and his plans for me. Together lets put Jesus First in all things! Thanks for reading and for praying for me. :)
