I guess its my turn. Reading everyones memories and stories of Mark has been healing, for not only myself, but certainly has been helpful for Jay. Those of you who know Mark well, know that there was a strong bond there! So I would like to thank everyone for that! I have been Marks sister -in-law for the last 24 years! When I first met Mark, he was a skinny, big-eyed, adorable kid of about 11 or 12. One of my favorite memories of Mark is when he met his neice ( Justine) for the first time. He positively glowed! He was so proud! He couldnt stop smiling, and I heard him whisper that hed always be there for her, as her coolest uncle. Not only did he keep that promise, he was a wonderful uncle again when Tyson came along! He took the time between football and school to come tutor Tyson 2 times a week when Tyson struggled in elementary, and let me tell you- he taught that boy better than any teacher ever had, and made it so Tyson enjoyed it, and increased their bond! All of the stories I have read have one common factor; Marks huge heart, and how much he made people feel comfortable! Mark would literally take a problem a loved one was having, internalize it, and make it his own! I can honestly say I loved Mark like my own brother, and barely remember my life before he was a part of it. There is a constant ache, and for a split second in the morning, upon awaking, before I remember what has happened, when I dont think of how sad his premature death makes me, and I know time will ease our pain, but this one runs really deep, and Im not sure how much time that will be. He was one of the most beautiful people I will ever have the pleasure of knowing! I love you Mark!
