I had a busy day today, and as usual I had a very late lunch. I dont like to wait until 3:00 to eat, but I have no choice. If I take my blood sugar meds in the morning I have to do something by 3:00 . . . or collapse. So I did a quick bank-stop then a McDonalds drive through. My meal came to $6.14. So, I had the money ready before I got to the first window. Waiting for the lady to once again say $6.14 she said, Its already taken care of. With my usual dumb look I ask her, By who? Buy the car ahead of you she replied. Well, who is in the car ahead of me? I asked. It is a pay it forward deal, she says. You can eat for free or Pay it Forward for the car behind you . . . their meal comes to the same as yours. I hate mind games, and living in this dumbed down America, everything raises my suspicion! I gave her my $6.14 and said This is not for the car behind me, it is for my meal and you owe me a penny change! I get to the second window and they give me the wrong order! They need to pass a rule at McDonalds, Accept no pay it forward! I went to McDonalds because I wasnt thinking . . . not to start thinking.
