I had a conversation with an ex-personal trainer last night and it - TopicsExpress

I had a conversation with an ex-personal trainer last night and it did NOT SIT RIGHT with me. Her theory was something along the lines that if youre like say a size 10, then you dont have the right to promote fitness or give nutritional advice. EXCUSE ME? Since, when did your waistline define what you CAN and CANNOT do? Especially, coming from a personal trainer. She complained about clients who had 60+ lbs to lose and would miss sessions. Theyd swear up and down they were motivated to lose weight and were willing to do whatever it takes. This really upsets me. Let me start by saying, by no means am I promoting weight loss groups to shrink your waist line. YES thats what I post about and what you receive in my challenge groups, but honestly I could care less about how many inches you lose. If thats all I cared about then no one would work with me! Im assuming because this lady had this opinion that maybe those that are significantly overweight may have similar thoughts. Im a proud SIZE TEN. Yup. I dont think Ive been a size three since middle school. The point is I have the WILL. Losing 20lbs and gaining it again does not all of sudden make me unqualified. It makes me EXPERIENCED. To all of my challengers who havent lost weight or stuck to their programs and to those who have lost weight and maybe gained some back, theyve gained something FAR MORE IMPORTANT in the process. A will to keep fighting, a reason why, peace in themselves because they ARE SHOWING UP! Thats it! Dont judge people for their struggles or how far they have to go. Its never going to be easy, make sure youre in the right hands. That type of shit isnt welcome here. #allsizeswelcome #nevergiveup
