I had a dream last night that many of my lawyer friends will get a kick out of. I shut down my practice two years ago, but last night I dreamed I was in trial in a case in Florida. The only problem? Im not licensed in Florida. The trial went perfect until the point where the judge was about to charge the jury. Then I realized I had never filed Hac Pro Vice, so I was trying a case without a law license. It was about that time I woke up. Friends of mine who do civil law have told me of dreams about not filing cases before the statute of limitations ran but this is the first time Ive ever had a dream about screwing up in the legal practice. And fortunately, Im now a receiving lawyer!
