I had a little confrontation with a lady on IVN who believes President Obama is responsible for the Arab Spring and even funded it to assure the establishment of Sharia law????? Of course, as Hillary has been quoted to have said this is an argument that has the absence of evidence. But I do have an opinion about what caused the Arab Spring and that was the Bush administration and the invasion of Iraq. That invasion destabilized the entire Arab world. Given a choice between a secular democracy and the establishment of theocratic states which follows Sharia law, I have to admit Arab Muslims are not so tolerant of behaviors that are not prescribed in the Koran. Too many Muslims would rather dispense with elections other than one man, one vote, one time in order to have the Muslim Brotherhood or other fundamental Muslim groups reign and rule over them in an ideal Islamic state. I do not believe they are interested in long term democracy at all.
