I had a long drawn out passionate response to all the questions I have been getting about the Expanded Universe announcement. Victoria likes to make fun of the fact that I have read everything released as far as Star Wars goes now people are saying it was a waste of time. I have edited my rant to a few points. 1. George Lucas always said the movies and tv series and specials were the true canon. 2. He never was a huge fan of the EU and over the years many times has said this. 3. 95% of the world had no idea there was an EU until the announcement was made last week that it would be one true canon. 4. Remember when the Clone Wars cartoon started and everyone hated Ahsoka? Exactly If anyone should be pissed it should be me but right now Im taking a wait and see attitude on the situation. So Luke and Mara Jade Vaders secret assassin turned into his wife and having kids may not happen, a planet crushing Chewbacca will not happen, Han and Leias crazy kids may not happen, Leia being a jedi may not happen, Koi Skywalker being a waste hopefully will not happen in the movies but it is not like they pulled all books did an order 66 on the stuff we had and erased it all from our memories its still there enjoy it. Remember In the book version of ROTJ Leia said she remembered hiding with her mom from the enemy. But when episode 3 came out that went to shit. Canon changes it always has probably will again stop complaining and enjoy it.
