I had a lovely Citizenship ceremony, and was delighted that it was during half term and that my lovely husband Patrick Kant Count-Knowlton and good friend Sara Hall were able to attend. I was the only American there, and it was a privilege to see so many people obtain citizenship, including whole families and even a young Iraqi lady with Downs Syndrome. Ive never so badly wanted to hear so many peoples stories. Thank you to everyone whove brought me to this point: my family for bravely seeing me off to my new home country, the UK government for not randomly deporting me, Ian Arch and Michael Finley for kindly agreeing to assure the Home Office that I am not a wanted criminal, and finally, Paddy for putting up with me for over four years (and paying dearly for the privilege of being married to me!). Lots of love to you all.
