I had a meeting today with the Dean of Students at my school. I have always admired his presence from afar, hes the type of guy to say hello with a smile to every person he walks by. What I didnt know was that within seconds of meeting me he was able to see through all my walls and armor that I have so carefully used to protect and shield myself. Over the course of an hour we had one of the most real, authentic and honest communication sessions I have had in a while. It makes me realize how grateful I am for those of who you I have been able to connect with and who have given me the freedom to speak open and honestly. I am acknowledging things about myself that I have long tried to avoid, and I am feeling so many things today that I havent allowed myself to feel. I am also creating goals, some long term, some short, hell some are even life long. There is never a better time then now and the worst thing to do is be afraid of the things that present themselves to you. Fear is something I am going to actively try to remove from my vocabulary, while letting in endless amounts of growth. Feeling all of the things today, but most of all I am inspired. Inspired to continue running even though Im exhausted, because happiness will be mine. Its even close enough to taste. ( ( (
