I had a nice chat today with my community neighbor Dougie, He is 60+ years old and has been living in the streets most of is life. He is a gentle soul and while every now and then he asks passerbys for some spare change, he is never aggressive. I sat with him today cause he said out loud maybe I should talk louder at people cause no one ever answers back or even looks at me. So I sat down right beside him, introduced myself , had a smoke together and I got to know him a little. I didnt have much to spare but told him if he is there tomorrow, he can be guaranteed at least a sandwich and some treats from me then. He simply said thank you for seeing me. How sad that so many are invisible to so many others. Lady Kat, August 27th 2104
