I had a nice lesson in customer service today. I had a bad experience when I went for coffee this morning, and emailed the company (politely) when I got in to work about it. This large corporation surprised me by having a manager contact me directly to apologize for this issue. Yay! Not that I wanted an apology, but they took the time to acknowledge a customers concern. Kudos. Conversely, Im having a crabby day (way too busy right now) and got frustrated by a customers email. Thankfully, I took the time to walk away from my desk for a few moments before responding. I worked with the customer and they were totally happy at the end. We all have good days and bad days, but when it comes down to good business, you must take emotion out of the equation and do your best to serve your customers.
