I had a nice little talk with Dan Marling; He informed me that the village is now doing complete background checks on ALL new village hires! EXCELLENT JOB. He also was not happy about my under Dans wing comment. Let me update that statement; The drug user, who had the sheriff looking for him a couple of days ago, is FIRMLY under the villages wing INCLUDING his immediate supervisor Dan Marling. The decision to hire this person was confirmed by council and not Mr. Marling, but since he is in charge of the village of Bellaire...well, you take that information and run with it. SO.....great work on the background checks. I do question the legality of doing background checks on some but not all employees, but hey...they are a self insured, so the liability goes directly upon them if something happens!
