I had a perma-cath inserted today and directly after did 3 hours of hemo. It was absolutely horrible. My chest became heavy and I couldnt breathe. It was very scary for me. I ended up having a panic attack. They put me on oxygen and basically left me. I am a PD patient, and this is temporary until I get a bladder prolapse fixed. Does any one have any tips to help me relax? Or things that should concern me? I went into this with no training or education at all, and I think thats what scares me. My grandfather had a heart attack and died while hooked up to hemo, so thats reason alone for my being a skeptic. Any tips or advise is greatly appreciated. And really, you guys are warriors, because this is to overwhelming for me!!!
