I had a philosophical conversation with someone who had the polar opposite of my beliefs today. Well, maybe I shouldnt say that exactly. his belief system was similar, however different in its method. We believed in the same conclusion, that change for the humanity must be accomplished within the next 10-20 years. Whereas my dogma is to love humanity, and uniting people under a common goal, where all men, women and children could be seen as equal, he believed in a different dogma. He believed the world should belong to those who are worthy to inherit it, and that all others need not apply. It was a bit haunting, for I remember this neat little quip. Me: The kingdom of God is not in one man, or in a group of men, but in all men and we must strive for a future where all men can come to know their fellow man as brother and friend. We are but meek, but we will inherit this world, why not share that amongst brothers? Him: I dont believe that in doctrine, in fact I believe that the meek are damned, let them inherit nothing in this world. It was an interesting clash of doctrines, it kind of felt like a Professor X and Magneto discussion.
