I had a request for a video demonstrating proper form when deadlifting. This is one of my favorite exercises because it works the area between your hamstring and butt. Stand with your feet hip width apart. You can use Dumbbells or a bar. Hold them in front of your thighs. You dont want to lock your knees. Stand tall. Bend at your hips to lower your torso, keeping the weights close to your body. Keep your back neutral. Return to standing, keeping the weights close to your body (as if youre shaving your legs with the dumbbells). Thats one rep. Notice I come back up to standing but dont lean back. I like to watch myself in a mirror when I do these to make sure my form is on target. Focus on form and this move will be your hamstrings new BFF.
