I had a screening of my Iraqi documentary Nice Bombs, many years - TopicsExpress

I had a screening of my Iraqi documentary Nice Bombs, many years ago in downtown Chicago. Anyway after the screening I always do a question and answer session. A soldier, who had served time in Iraq, was arguing with me about something I said about the U.S. military. It was no big deal, but after we all left the theater he came up to me and said hello. He told me that when he was in Iraq, he was inside the home of an Iraqi family and had taken (stolen) some personal items, photos and things like that, he said. He wanted to know if I would take them and attempt to return them to the owners. I said I would try. I was working as a radio producer at the time and was thinking, I need to interview this guy! I never heard back from him. But trust me, there are many American soldiers that have personal items from Iraqi families. This guy must of felt guilty and wanted to do something about it, but never came through in the end.
