I had a very hard day today. We were heading down to Port Huron and a dog had been hit and killed and tossed into a ditch. I turned the car around to check for a tag or phone number so I could call the owners. I found an expired tag but nothing else. My heart was broken. I drove to the nearest home, they directed me to another home. I stopped a man on the side road, which tried to help me. Finally another man told me where the owner lived, but he not there. So I left a message on his door explaining it to him. On our way back To Lexington, the dog was still there. I feel so awful. I hugged my little Reta a bit tighter and longer when I got back.
