I had a very interesting discussion today with my akh Shuaib Rahman as to why an indervidul would happy spend 2 hours watching a film with full Khushuu but has to forced to read the Quran... and even then its like your just reading it to get to the end of your surah... Why is this? Is the answer simply... Lack of emaan or ia there something else. I love to get your thoughts (if you have any) I put it down to the fact that the truth is Sadly the Quran does not stimulate our minds the way a film or a programme does. It IS supposed to! ... What is a film compared to the Words of Allah... Nothing! But somewhere there is an error in connecting to the words of Allah they way we connect to the latest movie etc Im not sure if that made any sense? But you tell me why do some of us find it sooooo difficult to read the Quran ... even if we can read it (fluently) and generally understand its words. Jazaakallah khiran.
