I had an amazing experience today at work and was extremely surprised by patients Leo Hymas and his lovely wife Amy, whom brought me a gift. Leo is a WWII veteran, who is one of the first American soldiers during the war to free prisoners at Buckenwald concentration camp in Germany, he speaks about all over the world and can be found on Ytube. On a number of visits to our office for dental treatment, I have talked to them about this experience and shared my few stories of my fathers (Edward Joseph Molenda) experience and even brought his Army uniform,(shown in picture below) in for Leo to see. He was helpful in explaining my Dads patches and his rank, but wondered if I had his medals or ribbons, which I knew nothing of them. He said he would research it and get some of them for me. So today, he came in and presented me with this lovely framed display of medals that I was missing and said this was to honor my father. Well, to say the least I was in turn honored that this hero took the time and effort to give me a missing piece of the puzzle. I thank them and I wanted to share this meaningful experience and treasure with you.
