I had an awesome experience yesterday and I would like to share it. Yesterday was probably one of the most difficult days at work (new job) that Ive experienced since starting. A whole lot of foolishness, and an overwhelming volume of work. I decided that late that afternoon I had enough. Got up and went outside and took a walk. All the time thinking Lord. This must have been a mistake. When I returned to my desk, I received a phone call from a gentleman well into his 70s who could barely speak above a whisper. I asked him , how can I help you today, sir? He began to tell me that he needed me to pull his entire medical record and he requested that I read every test that hes ever had, every diagnosis ever given to him, he wanted to know everything had been done and by the way , he also requested that I spell everything out. As I did as he wished, I found out that he had suffered a myriad of diseases. And the one most common, beingspinal cord paralysis. This is why he could only speak above a whisper. As co-workers around me heard me spelling, breaking down diagnostic codes, they began to giggle. Im sure they thought poor Linda. This conversation took at least 30 mins. When I completed the list, I asked him if there was anything else. He thanked me for my patience and then he asked me my name. I told him Linda. He asked me if he could tell me one more thing. I said, sure, sir. He said have you heard JESUS IS CALLING? Naturally, I was shocked. I said okay, yes sir. He said this is a book and every day it gives me something greater to live for. Please let me send it to you so you be blessed!! Long story short, He blessed me more by those 3 words than anything else. Please understand that it was no coincidence. Jesus is calling!! And when we take the time to bless people through love and compassion, then thats the job U signed on for. Let us remember we work unto The Lord, not man. I got my lesson!!!
