I had an enjoyable weekend at the veterans championships at Boughton Raceway at the weekend. Qualifying third in 2wd on Saturday I finished 2nd overall to multiple national and double European champion Ellis Stafford, winning the third leg of the three legged A main with the new Team C TC02CEVO. The car performing very well on the large, dry, all astro track. This also gave me the overall win in the over 50 class. 4wd on Sunday and the qualifying went very well with the TM4 performing perfectly putting me 3rd on the grid behind Ellis and Danny Conway who was also driving the TM4. The finals not going to plan with the first leg being battered off the track, eventually finishing 4th and then an early mistake from me ruining the 2nd leg and an equally scrappy 3rd leg to finish 5th overall. Both Team C cars performing very well throughout the weekend. Danny Conway drove brilliantly both days with his TM2V2 and borrowed TM4 to qualify second in both classes and finishing eventually third behind me in 2wd and second in 4wd. Well done mate. Well done also to Stephen Best for driving his TM2 to a very well deserved second place in the under 16 championship. Stephen TQd the first 2 qualifying rounds against BRCA National A finalist Jack Neal who took the final 2 rounds to eventually take the top spot. Well done to Artie Sillins for his first junior championships and collecting a trophy first time out and a big well done to all the juniors at the event, you all drove very well.
